On May 22, 2026, the Honourable Oscar Requena, accompanied by technical teams from the Ministry of Economic Transformation, the Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Housing, and the Office of Indigenous Peoples Affairs, carried out an assessment of bridges in Settlement 26 and Settlement 256, with the vision to replace old bridges that frequently flooded and isolated villages.^[1]
