The Bullet Tree Falls-Spanish Lookout Road starts at the Calla Creek Farm Road junction in Bullet Tree Falls and travels east to the border of Spanish Lookout where it becomes 3rd Street West.
Before 1972 only truck passes existed from the villages to the Belize River and a few passes along the river.[1]
In 1972, Menno D Loewen constructed the road from Spanish Lookout to Bullet Tree Falls, giving the residents of Spanish Lookout better access to El Cayo Town as the Iguana Creek Bridge had not been constructed at that time yet and the only access across the Belize River was via the Baking Pot Ferry that snapped whenever large floods came.[2]
During the paving of the Bullet Tree Falls Road in 2008, part of the Bullet Tree Falls - Spanish Lookout Road was paved, from the Calla Creek Road junction for 893 meters up to the first bend in the river.[3]
On January 10, 2025 the paving of the Bullet Tree Falls - Spanish Lookout Road project was announced. The project was valued at just under $10,000,000 BZD and was a partnership between the Government of Belize and the Spanish Lookout Community.[4]
This is a list of road modifications under this project.
