Spanish Lookout Community Roads

Baltimore Drive is one of the only non-linear roads in Settlement 295, and that's because it was built along a ridge.

History

In November of 1959, the community negotiated with Menno D Loewen for a 33 foot wide strip of land to connect Baltimore Drive to Road 23.[1]

The road was an all-weather road by 1974 as first seen on a property map at that time. But most likely it was one of the first roads constructed in 1958-1960. ## Etymology The road was first named Baltimore Drive in 2003 as part of the first naming scheme in Spanish Lookout. The road sign at the junction with Riverside Road had a spelling error for 20 years, Balitimore Drive.
