The Orange Walk Bypass bypasses Orange Walk Town to the east.
The bypass was constructed in 2004 with a new roundabout at the southern terminus and 2 steel truss bridges crossing the New River. In the middle a roundabout was constructed connecting the San Estevan Road from Orange Walk Town to San Estevan.[1]
A few years later another roundabout was constructed at the northern terminus.
In 2024 the entire road was resurfaced by Cisco Construction Company as part of the Philip Goldson Highway & Remate Bypass Upgrading Project.[2]
