Indian Creek is subdivided into line villages and each village has a camp number. Settlement 291 has camps 1-23. Settlement 146 has 24-39, and then Settlement 291 has 40-44 again, and then Settlement 126 has 50-59, and then Settlement 146 has 70-74 again and then Settlement 179 has 101-114.

The Mennonite colony of Settlement 291 needed expansion space, so the settlement of Indian Creek was founded in 1988.
