Before 2026 the residents of Mabil Ha drew their water from creeks, natural springs and a hand-pumped well near the school. On Thursday, October 8, 2026, a new water system was inaugurated in the village. It cost BZ$1,302,175.14 and was carried out by the Belize Social Investment Fund under the tenth cycle of the Caribbean Development Bank's Basic Needs Trust Fund (BNTF10), together with the Ministry of Rural Transformation. The works included a production well, a reinforced concrete pump house, two 5,000-gallon storage tanks, more than 17,000 feet of distribution pipeline and 56 connections to homes and institutions. A photovoltaic solar system powered the system, with a standby generator as backup. A newly appointed village water board was put in charge of running it.[1][2][3]
