Rhaburn Ridge is a settlement of immigrants from Central America and has never been raised to a village level yet. The villagers mostly follow milpa farming practices. In 2008, Rhaburn had a population of around 200.[1]
In 2008 the government planned to lease an acre of land each to 80 ghetto youths from Settlement 12. They were given training on raising Tilapia and other farming practices in Settlement 310.[2] But the local residents were afraid the government was planning to chase them off of their land as they had only gotten the land through squatters rights.[2]
In 2013 the Students for the International Mission Service from a university in California held a health fair in Rhaburn Ridge, and at the same time, other organizations from the US were helping the local church construct classrooms and school buildings.[3]
Rhaburn Ridge received clean drinking water for the first time on December 21, 2021 with the Ministry of Rural Transformation drilling a water well.[4]
In 2024 the Belize Police Department destroyed a marijuana field in the Rhaburn Ridge area.[5]
The Pine Hill SDA church has a school for the community. Some of the school buildings were constructed in 2008 by missionaries from the US.[3]
The Pine Hill SDA Church is under the Central Belize Mission Conference (Settlement 12) in the Belize Union Mission (Settlement 12) of the Inter-American Division (Miami, Florida) of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Between 2020-2025 they had 65 members.[6]
