From at least 1906[1] to 1924[2] San Lázaro was a mission of the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Settlement 186[3][4]; from at least 1940[5] to at least 1947[6] it was again listed as a mission of the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Settlement 186.
The San Lazaro Church is under the North Belize Mission Conference (Settlement 64) in the Belize Union Mission (Settlement 12) of the Inter-American Division (Miami, Florida) of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. In 2025 they had 169 members.[7]
