In 1892 the Chairman returned to Settlement 12 from Santa Cruz and said that the smallpox had risen from 2 cases to 8.[1]
From at least 1917[2] to 1925[2], Santa Cruz had a catholic mission under the Church of the Immaculate Conception, from Settlement 186.[3]
