A hurricane shelter was constructed in 1963.[1]
On May 15, 2026 a public meeting was held by the Ministry of Rural Transformation on a village boundary dispute between Placencia and Seine Bight.[2]
In The Handbook of British Honduras 1888-89 it is stated that H. Worrell was appointed as Deputy Registrar for Seine Bight in 1887.[3]
In 1949 the police force consisted of 1 officer.[4]
From at least 1917[5] to 1925, Seine Bight had a catholic mission under the Church of the Sacred Heart, from Stann Creek Town.[6]
