The name Selena does not appear on the 1980 DOS map but it does show multiple houses along the road.
In 2007 it was planned to construct a power line to Selena, but there were difficulties routing the line around Spanish Lookout.
Then in 2017 as part of Belize Electricity Ltd's System Expansion Program, Selena finally received electricity for the first time. This power line was constructed to internationally approved National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) standards. [1]
