Valley of Peace is located just off of the Farmers Express Road in the Cayo District. Waterway 284 flows through the village and on into the Waterway 20.
Valley of Peace was founded on March 12 1982 by George Price, Belize’s prime minister at the time, as a haven for refugees fleeing the civil wars that then plagued Central America, especially El Salvador.[1]
Valley of Peace or as it's known locally Valle de Paz was so named by refugees seeking peace in Belize.
