Valley of Peace is located just off of the Farmers Express Road in the Cayo District. Saturday Creek flows through the village and on into the Belize River.
Valley of Peace was founded on March 12 1982 by George Price, Belize’s prime minister at the time, as a haven for refugees fleeing the civil wars that then plagued Central America, especially El Salvador.[1]
Valley of Peace or as it's known locally Valle de Paz was so named by refugees seeking peace in Belize.
