In 1888 the First Alcalde was Jose Itza, the Second Alcalde was Olegario Na.^[1][The book says this is in Orange Walk District, but the 1980 DOS map shows it in Corozal District.]

In 1888 the name was spelled Tasistal, but in 1980 it was spelled Tacistal.
