Greendale's village name was announced at a monthly committee meeting on June 28, 2003. It was described as reaching from Nick B Reimer to Country Meat.[1]
In 2017 administrative districts were established in Spanish Lookout, and Greendale was chosen as the name for the district covering Greendale and Rosenort. This was immediately rejected at the meeting, as Rosenort was by far the oldest and populous of the two. However when the maps were created, the name Greendale remained as the district name.
Greenwood Cemetery is the fourth cemetery on Spanish Lookout and was created in 2013. The Countryside Park committee was put in charge of the cemetery.[1]
Rosenort School
In 1990 the old school's floor was replaced. Rosenort School was one of the earlier schools on Spanish Lookout and was shut down in the late 2010s. Afterwards it was turned into a mission school called Stepping Stones Mission School.
Palm Ridge School
Palm Ridge School lot was purchased from DL Friesen in 1992. The school was shut down in 2019.
Rose Glen School
Rose Glen School was constructed in 2002 and was partially funded by the Spanish Lookout Community.[1]
Countryside Park was created from 2006-2008 for the 50th Anniversary of Spanish Lookout held on March 30, 2008.
