Green Hills was named at a Spanish Lookout Community meeting on September 12, 1990. The options to vote from were Green Hills, Rolling Acres, Woodland, Ridgewood, Northfield, Black Creek and Brookland.[1]
By the Spanish Lookout community meeting in June 2026, one mile of new road had been built in Green Hills west and material had been dumped on 3 miles of road in Cadena Hills and Green Hills west and on 2 miles in Green Hills east.[2]
In 2026 the Civil Aviation authorities asked for more compliance on the Green Hills airstrip and the other strips used by sprayer planes, and from August 2026 a chain and cones were to be placed across the road whenever planes were in the area.[3]
On September 26, 2026 a Spanish Lookout community meeting supported installing the community's own cameras at the Green Hills gate.[4]
