Schöntal Meeting Hall

The Schöntal Meeting Hall used to serve as both a church and a meeting hall until the new concrete Schöntal Church was constructed. After that point it served mainly as a wedding and funeral venue as well as the Community meeting center until the SLAB was constructed in 2002. After 2002 it continued being used for weddings and funerals until Countryside Park opened in 2008 and most wedding events were then held there as well as the annual general community meetings. Today it is still used for certain events, mostly funerals, annual co-op shareholder meetings, yard sales and fundraiser events.

SLAB

An administrative building was constructed an completed in April of 2002 that served as a community meeting house. Valley Printing Center was also located in the same building. The first monthly committee meeting was held there on May 25, 2002. This building was called "The Printery" and was renamed at the end of 2002 to Spanish Lookout Administration Building or "the SLAB" in short form. Sometime around 2020 the Spanish Lookout administration was moved to the new Heritage Building in Settlement 361. The old SLAB bulding only remained as the printery and a rentable meeting house. The meeting rent prices were set in 2002 at $40 in the morning, $50 in the afternoon, $40 for the evening and $100 to rent it for the entire day.[1]
