Blackberry Ridge Estate is just off of the Hattieville - Boom Road in the Belize District. It can be considered a part of the Burrell Boom metro area.
Blackberry Ridge Estate was inaugurated on February 1, 2023 as a low-income housing project by the Government of Belize.
The village was established as part of a plan to create 10,000 homes around the country. The architects realized it would be cheaper to build multiple homes in one area instead of single homes across the country, and that's why Blackberry Ridge Estate was established.[1]
Fruit trees were provided to each resident according to what fruit tree the street was named after.
In 2024 construction continued of low-income modular homes and services. Phases 2 & 3 which consisted of 70 new homes, 40 in phase 2, and 30 in phase 3.[2]
