Salt Creek was founded as an agricultural settlement by the government in 1934.[1]
In 1959, Salt Creek had the largest coconut plantation in British Honduras with 1,400 trees.[1]
From at least (1917[2]-1925[3]) {1934 START DATE CONFLICT} Salt Creek had a catholic mission under the Cathedral of the Most Holy Redeemer, from Belize Town.[4]
