Greenville is located in the Settlement 367 part of Settlement 295. The village lots were subdivided in September 1990 and offered for sale from $125 to $200 per acre.
It was named on May 28, 1994 at a monthly community meeting. The boundaries were defined as the western part of the Green Hills settlement.
