In 1889 Rev. Robert Cleghorn was sent to superintend country schools, with headquarters at Crooked Tree.[1]
Crooked Tree was mentioned in the 1963 Government Gazette.[2]
In 1949 the police force consisted of 1 officer, and a new police substation was constructed.[3]
The Crooked Tree SDA Church is under the Central Belize Mission Conference (Settlement 12) in the Belize Union Mission (Settlement 12) of the Inter-American Division (Miami, Florida) of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Between 2020-2025 they had 55 members.[4]
