At the 2026 Annual General Meeting a vote was held on which roads to pave next. Road 227 from Isaac Wolfe to Road 223 came out 9/9 on the votes.[1]
2026-02: Under the new Private Pavement Funding initiative, work started on paving 545 meters from Road 223 past Road 226 and down the hill a short ways.. With this initiative, residents can fund new pavements and get paid back in 10 years at a 4% interest rate. The road was paved with chipseal on June 2, 2026.[2]
In June 2026 the west end of the road was curved to meet the new 3rd St W/Center Ave speed curve and then that curve was paved on July 24, 2026. This road section was transferred to the Spanish Lookout Community on June 29, 2026.
The road was named Riverside Road in 2003, as it generally followed the course of the Waterway 20, but in 2020 when street names were updated they wanted to rename parts of this road 3rd St. E. and 10th St. E.. Local residents protested this change and so only the section of road from Road 226 eastward over Barton Ramie was renamed to 10th St. E.[2]
