History

More Tomorrow was established in 1793 as a woodcutter camp by the English buccaneers.[1]

Infrastructure

There was a time when the Western Road (which has become the George Price Highway ) actually passed through More Tomorrow. We know this because the older people will tell you that the historic Holy Saturday Crosscountry bicycle race (first ridden in 1928) once went over Tannish Creek in More Tomorrow on its way to San Ignacio & Santa Elena and back to Belize City.[1]

In 2003 the Ibrahim Abdullah Drive was built, becoming the new main road into the village.[2] It was named after Ibrahim Abdullah (formerly Charles X “Justice” Eagan, a founding officer of UBAD in 1969).[1]

Previously the main road came from Cotton Tree and lead straight to the Belize River and then along the river to More Tomorrow.[1]
