In 2012 a lot of families from Springfield and Lower Barton Creek moved to Roseville to found a new settlement. But the new village was far from commercial centers making it hard to sell produce. So some families packed up and moved back north into the mountains founding the village of Mountain Valley Community in the Pomona area.
